We Love Spring

This weather has been wonderful - even the rain! You can get out and do so many things and everything starts to bloom and turn green! Here are a few pics - sorry it has been awhile.

Dad is flying our kite among all the others. It was so beautiful! Can you tell which one is ours-the big dragon - ARRRRRR - as Pierce calls it

Last year we went to the Kite Festival for the first time and really enjoyed sitting in in the park, watching the kites, relaxing, and eating a picnic lunch. The weather was really warm last year and Pierce at that time was doing the army crawl (pics from last year go to: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/pictures?a=67b0de21b338489ba463&sid=8RcuGbZq4fx and look at the last 5 pictures - wow looking back at those - the little guy sure has grown up so much!!!). This year (3/4/07), we took a picnic and bought a kite, met up with a few friends and enjoyed the day. The weather this year was a bit cooler, but warmed up towards the afternoon. This year we also weren't able to sit and realx - we were chasing the little guy and got our exercise worth. J really enjoyed flying the kite and can't wait to fly it again. He did a great job and did get it up pretty high. Pierce loved watching all the kites, playing with all the dogs that people brought, playing in the sand vollyball court, and chasing the kite once it fell to the ground and going "uh oh" and picking it up. It was a great weekend! Next year, you should join us!

The weather and all the blooming and budding plants/trees sure makes it feel like Spring. I love this time of year! We have been getting out a bunch and enjoying the weather. Really need to get into the grove of putting that sunscreen on again! Not too much going on here, just been hanging out with friends and family. J has been working a lot lately this last week on a project. Hopefully that will be over soon. Hope everyone else is doing well and write when you can!

Happy one and a half birthday

Well we reached the 18 month milestone with Pierce (2/4). How time has flown - it is amazing! Pierce is a true joy and we continue to grow together and have many laughs. We have his Doctor's appointment on Friday and we will give you an update on the stats. In the mean time, we went last week on Wed (1/31) and got his first haircut. This place was great - it was specifically geared for kids. He got to sit on a toy dirt bike while the cut his hair. He also got to hold the squirt bottle (one of his favorite toys), and a video played in front of him. He did great! At the end, we got an envelope that had his locks of hair, a certificate for his first hair cut, and a lollipop - which he really enjoyed! Here are a few pictures, hope you enjoy.
