June Pics 1

Here are the first set of June Pics. Pierce continues to like to play in the cabinets. The one with Pierce playing with another boy was at a playdate and the two of them were playing hide and seek behind this curtain - it was hilarious! Pierce walking with his push toys has been a huge hit lately. Pierce when he is tiered of swimming will lay with dad in the beach entrance part. So sweet!

So before posting pictures for June, here are some updates on what has been going on since the last post. Not too much going on for me and J. J is currently working on installing everything for the theatre room - it is coming a long nicely - but a lot of work. I can't wait for it to be done. It will be really nice. I haven't done too much out of the norm - clean house, grocery shop, play with Pierce, etc. Pierce has been up to some fun things lately. First, bags - he loves them. He loves to try to pull them around the house - not forward though, he pulls them while he scoots backwards. Very cute! Then he knows how to turn on the water in all the bath tubs - on off, on off. Libby comes in to drink the water and he pushes her away. He has also seen us blow on his food before feeding him if it is hot. So now he blows on his food before he eats it - very cute!! He loves animals! When he sees a squirrel, a bird, a cat, a dog - he points and starts going ew ew ew ew ew and wants to go after them. He also is so strong now that he will get our chairs in the kitchen and start pushing them around everywhere. He likes to try to climb up on things such as his walkers, the dog bowls, etc. And in just the last few days, he is taking a lot of steps on his own. It used to be only to come to me or J. But now, he can stand up, look at where he wants to go and just goes - he takes about 10-15 steps on his own and can stop in the middle and stand and then take off again. Sometimes his face is just concentrating so hard. It is so much fun to see and just amazing then I think oh my I am in trouble!!! We have given him baths in the big tub lately. He loves going to the pool. He will outstretch his body and kick some when you hold him under his belly. J has taken him under the water a few times. But Pierce's favorite thing to do at the pool is to play with the lawn chairs - push the backs up and down and also bang on the tables. He loves to make things work. I think that is about it. Alright, here are the last pictures to share from May. Wow, I can't believe how far behind I am. I will take a break after this and tomorrow I will post pictures from June. These pics are of Pierce playing with the dog cages (he loves to play with them and in them), more pics at the water park and swimming and just playing.

Here are some pictures from May. Pierce continuing to explore our kitchen cabinets, climbing on his blocks, eating and playing with black beans, getting in trouble by climbing up on the bath tub, and him having fun at the Sprinkler park not too far from our house.

Too Long..

I know it has been too long again since I last posted anything. I feel terrible about that. We have been pretty busy to say the least. We just got back from a week long trip to Nebraska. It was Pierce's first really long road trip and also staying in hotels. It was Pierce's first time got to meet most of D's relatives. He did such a great job!

Along with this, Pierce took a few steps 2 days before the trip 7-19. He continues to do it off and on. Also, on the trip back home (7-26) Pierce started to clap and continues to do it now or wants to high five or live five ya. He has Mama and Dada really down and Ba (usually says it when he sees a ball or is playing with a ball). He loves animals. He gets really excited when he sees a bird, dog or cat. It is so cute. He has become a bit shy lately and not really going as freely to others. Might be stranger awareness. Not a bad thing to have sometimes. Separation anxiety kicks in once and awhile too.

We have been to the pool many times and with each trip he does better and better. J has even gotten him to go under water with him. He loves to go on runs with us and just watch everything around him. He continues to go to playdates and now 1 year birthday parties are starting up! It is so crazy that his 1 year birthday is a little less than a month away!

D continues to go to stroller strides. However the franchise owner for Austin has decided to not renew her franchise fee for the year so it will be shutting down 8-1. So we will have to find another means of exercising 3 days a week. I don't want to jinx it either, but the other night after trying a few things, Pierce finally slept through the night with out waking up!!! YEA. I hope it continues!!! Sometimes we think he may be teething - he drools a lot and can get pretty cranky. But we also have temper tantrums that have started up a lot. The word "No" is used a lot around here. Pierce really enjoys table food. We pretty much give him what we eat. He eats beans, peas, grapes, pasta, chicken, black beans, tortillas, refried beans, bananas, peaches, pears, egos, pancakes, etc.

J worked some on the garage to get things put up and unpacked and it is so nice! I think that is really about it here. Not a lot else has happened in the amount of time that I haven't posted anything.

Well I will start posting a lot of pictures now. Keep in touch and again as I always say, I will try to do better. But I should be now since we have the new software installed.
